April 2025Overall it was great place and resort located offer options. All the restaurants on site had great food and service. The staff at the resort were very helpful and friendly. The villa worked great for our group and enjoyed having a private pool. The issues we had were a three of the showers heads didn’t point down so you have to hold the shower head when showering. So, we just ended up using two of the showers. Some of the A/C remotes didn’t work but able to others in the home to make everything work. Pretty sure one of the beds was not a King size like stated. If you are wanting to leave the resort you will need to go into Punta Cana since everything around the area seemed to be all inclusive to surrounding resorts, which cost around $60 usd on way. Would definitely stay there again!

January 2025We had a great stay. The private pool and hot tub with patio was the highlight. Hot water was in short supply for showers with 8 of us but we made due. One shower didnt work well but there were 3 others for us to use. We are from Wisconsin so normally pools are heated for us but realize not needed in Punta Cana. Pool was a little cool but we enjoyed it. Hot tub was great for night use. Easy walk to the beach or Monkey Bar pool. The resort pool was down for cleaning a few days but that has nothing to do with the villa. Once pool was open water was freezing so we couldn’t enjoy that much but was a very cool place. Lots of landscaping and workers around keeping place clean (whole resort). We enjoyed all the restaurants. Maid always there in the morning to clean or supply fresh towels. Supermarket was convenient for anything we forgot or for snacks and drinks. Concierge Davidson was awesome and there for anything we needed. Might stay closer to downtown next time but liked this place.

December 2024The villa was a little piece of heaven. Housekeeper kept house clean. We did 4 dives, we ate at the beach bar nearly every night, the food was the BEST there. They decorated the restaurant for my hubby's birthday which was a huge surprise. The staff was so great! Vianny, got us where we needed to be on time, Forgive me, I cannot remember the chef lady's name but WOW she could cook... get the BREAD PUDDIN! And my most favorite was Davidson, we couldn't have made it without him. He took such good care of us, I pray the Housekeepers shared the tip we left for the house as it was generous. We love all of you. My only change would be to show what's really there, the house will sell itself, remove the pool and nightlife that are a bit of a walk and not right out your back door! Merry Christmas our Dominion friends!

December 2024We truly enjoyed the location, which offered everything we needed nearby. It has the feel of a gated community, complete with restaurants, a cafe, a gym, and a convenience store. While we were there, they were also in the process of building a nightclub on the grounds, which added to the lively atmosphere. The restaurant and bar on the beach had a solid selection of reasonably priced items, and the staff—both waiters and waitresses—were attentive and friendly. There was a good number of tables and lounge chairs available for guests. The sand and beach were impressively clean and well-maintained. Although some areas had sandstones and rocks that made walking a bit tricky, it wasn’t enough to deter us from enjoying the water. We visited during Thanksgiving, which is considered the slow season, so it was quite peaceful during our stay. Vianny, our host, was very responsive, and I felt comfortable reaching out to her with any requests at any time. Overall, it was a great experience!

In addition, if anything arose, she was quick to action and quick to a resolution…Thank you for making our stay one we will remember as Villa Fiesta was the perfect setting to celebrate our newly married friends! Now, I want to share how STELLAR the staff was at Playa Palmera as each and every person had a smile on their face, as well as was always inquiring about what they could do to enhance our experience….they had an ability to make you feel right at home. I do want to make mention of one individual in particular, Davidson, who was our personal concierge during our stay at the resort. He is absolutely brilliant at what he does, exudes an energy that makes you smile every time you are in his presence, and ultimately became a lifelong friend by the end of our stay! Thanks

July 2024Vianny was an incredible host and the place was spotless and clean. We had access to the local restaurants, local bars, souvenir shops, the private beach and the restaurant that was on the beach; also the beach is open to us for 24HRS. If we needed anything from a ride to go places, things to do or we couldn’t find things Vianny was always available as well as the host at the front desk. Me and my friends really enjoyed our stay and would be visiting again very soon!

June 2024The resort was beautiful and the check-in process was seamless. Although the villa was not ready for early check-in (before 3) we were able to rent a golf cart ($50 per day) and explore the property while we waited. Our concierge Kevin was amazing from beginning to end. From setting up transportation to booking excursions Kevin was on it! Kevin responded promptly and was able to help us with anything we needed, even a house call when we were not able to answer the phone to ensure that we had proper transportation back to the airport. The people at the front desk were very nice and helpful. The villa was nice and cozy, we were able to make our self right at home. The daily house keeping was a plus! If you are looking for a place to unwind, relax, and reset this is definitely the place for you. Highly recommended!

Our butler Richardson provided awesome and personalized service and we immediately felt at home. The pool area was fabulous and we hung out there most of the time. I have to give 5 stars to the people working at the reception area. everyone was so kind and helpful and made our stay very pleasant. There was no need to rent a golf cart because they were always around to give us a ride.

April 2024The first thing I need to say is that our concierge, Kelvin, was remarkable. He was the saving grace on our trip and if you're lucky enough to get him you are in wonderful hands. The good: The Villa Royal itself, is in a wonderful location, close to the beach, restaurants and market. The property of the villa is beautiful but the maintenance of the villa was not up-to-date. The bad: We were delayed for over an hour as they told us our villa was not yet ready, even though we arrived after the approved check-in time. Of the 4 bathrooms, 2 had shower heads that were broken, 1 had a toilet that wasn't connected to the floor and 3 of the 4 had dirty showers with clumps of hair in the drains. Our fridge did not work, the pool would not circulate and the hot tub would not heat. Thankfully Kelvin and Vianny worked hard to fix all of the issues and by our 3rd day, most things were working properly. Vianny arranged a golf cart for our use as a goodwill gesture for all the issues.

Las instalaciones estan en perfecto estado y muy bien cuidadas en cuanto a las habitaciones, camas, baños, areas comunes, piscina todo bien limpio y muy organizado. El complejo cuenta con buenos servicios de seguridad, transporte, gym, etc …. Y lo mejor es que la playa esta a 1 minuto de la villa.

March 2024We had a wonderful time during our 6 weeks staying at the Villa Royal in Punta Cana. The house was great and we loved the pool and hot tub. The location was perfect, 1/4 mile from the beach and 1/4 mile from the market, etc. The beach is beautiful and made for a very relaxing day. Castaways and Florencita were two of our favorite places to eat. Whenever we had an issue, the staff at Playa Palmera were very prompt at resolving it. They, especially Helen, were great with any questions we had. We can’t wait to return again!

January 2024Only a few complaints the biggest one being the stove and oven didn't work properly and we paid for a private chef that couldn't prepare all the selections we had chosen That was a bummer after paying over 300 for the chef and food. Also the was dryer was a combo unit and the dryer didn't work so we had to air dry our clothes . Other than that the house was nice and the location was a two block walk to a beautiful beach ⛱️

December 2023Overall amazing stay! The villa is just as described and looks as great as it does in pictures. The staff is also EXTREMELY responsive. During my stay, we needed more towels, trash bags and a shower fixed and all of these concerns were addressed in literal minutes. My only criticism is the cleanliness of the bathrooms. There was clumps of toothpaste and visible toothpaste spit/water on the faucets which my wife was not too fond of. Other than that, great stay!

Is a great place to disconnect, beach is a short walk but you can always request a transfer if you don’t want to walk. Plenty of places to eat delicious meals. The little store was supper convenient. The outdoor space was amazing. Overall we had a great time and enjoyed out stay.

There was a disco tech or club nearby that played loud music in the evenings but you couldn’t hear it from inside The 4 bedrooms w onsuite bathrooms each gave everyone their own space which was very nice. June 2023I would HIGHLY recommend this listing. It was perfect for my small group of 5, but there are also larger villa’s if you have a larger group. This host was professional, helpful, and responsive during the whole process of this stay. The location was exactly what we wanted with a short walk to the private beach, stunning pool/outdoor space, and all the amenities you need (grocery, restaurant(s), salon, ice cream shop, and even close tourist shops. Our favorite part I will say was the restaurant and bar staff at the beach. Being from Chicago, our group can have high food/beverage exceptions, and the beach restaurant at Castaways exceeded all expectations! DR was a perfect getaway for us and this resort had everything we needed.

May 2023The pool is just as amazing as the photos and the bed was huge and very comfortable. There is construction all around the house as this resort and the surrounding area is being developed, but the noise isn’t something that’s going to keep you up all night. Highly suggest getting the golf cart to get around the property, because there are no sidewalks on the main resort road. This was outside of Vianny’s control but… the house is right next to the resort’s landscaping equipment shed and every day we had landscaping staff walking through our pool area to get to the shed. Just an FYI to close the curtains if you’re in the bedroom that faces the pool. We had a great time overall and the pool was sparkling clean every morning. I would recommend Vianny as a host!

La plage est à quelques mètres , avec un restaurant ( très bon) et un bar..Vous avez acces aux transats gratuitement. Le supermarché est également tout proche. Rooms and bathrooms were spacious, everything was clean and as expected. March 2023Vianny was fantastic! She was always quick to respond and very helpful. The home is beautiful and accommodates a large family wonderfully. We had a group of 6 and never felt on top of one another, we all had our own space. The private pool and hot tub are nice when you just want to spend some time away from the beach. The beach was private and allowed for a calm, relaxing place to enjoy the ocean (Castaway restaurant has wonderful food and beverages). The resort taxi is always driving by so no need to walk if you do not want to. Gym was perfect. Things Vianny has no control over but effected our stay: -The resort is under construction so there is constant noise from that Mon - Sat. -Few staff members speak/understand English so if you are not prepared it can be difficult to communicate your needs (note: this is throughout the island not just the resort). - The rental car was advertised for $120/day, the paperwork I signed said $60/day and I paid $140/day. This was not tax.

February 2023The house was great. We loved the pool, hot tub and outdoor area. Indoors was great too, exactly as described. Loved that it was in a gated community that had a convenient store and private access to the beach. It was a very pleasant neighborhood. We had a butler that was extremely responsive to all our needs and if something broke, they always responded and fixed very quickly. Definitely highly recommend!

January 2023The house is overall really beautiful. We loved the single-floor layout, the pool and the jacuzzi, in a very private setting. Access to the beach is fantastic - and the beach is really great too. The staff in the resort is very friendly and always helpful, whether that's the maintenance, the reception staff, security, drivers, and cleaners. We wished we knew that although there are a lot of restaurants on the map, most of them are part of other, all-inclusive resorts, and hence cannot be dined at. The finish in the house could be a bit better, e.g. water pressure is low and certain fixtures were not working. Nevertheless, with those expectations in mind, I think it's a really nice, spacious place that forces relaxation due to the distance from the main party areas of Punta Cana.

December 2022The property is EXACTLY like the photos. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Spent the week here with my girlfriends to celebrate meh 50th birthday. We lived in the pool and the hot tub and practically lived in the back yard. Just gorgeous. We rented a golf cart and it was totally worth it!
